0 Comments 22 November 2009

For those that demand easy diets for rapid weight loss you are probably scattering around for one that promises the most efficient effects. Look no further because the 3 day diet is a short term but rapid weight loss diet. It has been around since the 1980s and remains to hold a reputation for dropping off about 10 pounds each week. Whether it be a wedding dress you have to fit into or a vacation on the beaches of Cancun you want to look beach body ready for, this diet is able to help you reach your goal

The pros to this diet include it’s success over the last 20 years along with it’s requisite of dieting only for 3 days at a time. For the rest of the week you can eat whatsoever you would usually. Nonetheless the cons of this diet are the sternness of following the food items and portion sizes. You cannot vary, add or remove any of these items. It must be followed precisely from beginning to finish for the entire 3 days. The four days that you do not need to follow the diet it is proposed that you continue to eat healthy and only consume 2,000 calories per day to prevent yo yo dieting.

Another con to this diet is the weight gain that predominately comes after the diet period is over. The most essential part of a diet is keeping the weight off after the weight is lost. The trouble with the 3 day diet is it requires you to only consume 1,000 calories and then return to your regular diet which could easily surplus 2,000 calories. No one wants to count calories but it only makes sense that doubling your calorie intake for 4 days out of a week might not be the most consistent health choice. Another con of the 3 day diet is how unsupported by health professionals it is because it is such a low calorie diet. It is also one of the few diets that doesn’t advocate exercise.

All of these are factors in considering the 3 day diet for your rapid weight loss program. Follow through with other health living choices to keep from acquiring the weight back.
