			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Pilates exercises have been around for awhile. It is only recently that people are starting to take them seriously and make it part of their every day lives. Different tools make Pilates easier to do on a daily basis. Pilates mat exercises might be what someone needs to start their physical fitness routine off right.</p>
<p>The Pilates exercise method was first developed in the beginning of the twentieth century. It originated in Germany and though it was brought into being decades ago, as recent as 2005 it was done daily by over eleven million people. There were fourteen thousand instructors in that year alone in the United States. Many of these instructors forego using tools like balls or pulleys. However, most will demonstrate in their classes how to do Pilates mat exercises.</p>
<p>One of the easier Pilates mat exercises is the inner thigh lift. The mat is used to help the spine line up straight as the exerciser lays on their side, hip to the floor, leg extended towards the foot of the mat. The lower arm can support the head in a hand, or it can stretch out across the floor. The upper leg bends so the foot can be placed before of the hips, flat to the mat as the knee pushes away. The inner thigh is used to lift and lower the leg on the floor, without letting that leg touch the floor.</p>
<p>Pilates mat exercises can help a person articulate the entire spine and move it in a roll from flexion through to extension. The Teaser One maneuver is started on the back and meant to do just that. The arms are above the head and the legs are lifted up to a forty-five degree angle. With the tightening of the abdominal muscles, the spine curls up and the hands float over the legs then lift up above the head as the body comes into a perfect V pose. Then the body lowers back to the mat, with the legs going up above the body in a ninety degree angle.</p>
<p>The &#8216;walk out and push up&#8217; is also one of the Pilates mat exercises, though it starts with the person standing at the foot of the mat. The arms extend above the head, the spine curls and the hands descend to the floor with the pelvis pushing out. When the hands are on the floor, they &#8216;walk out&#8217;, first the right, then the left, keeping the hips steady. With the hands evenly spaced beneath the chest, the arms push up the body. The crown and spine and legs align, and then the elbows bend an inch, then straighten, doing the &#8216;push up&#8217;.</p>
<p>Another type of push up that is included in the Pilates mat exercises many people do is that of the Leg Pull Front Support. This is started face down on the mat and would be uncomfortable on a straight floor. The palms are at the sides of the body, near the shoulders. The legs are extended and the knees are lifted, with the toes pushing on the mat. While keeping the body in alignment, the hands push up until the shoulders and chest are over the thumbs. The shoulders press down the back and release, so that the area above the heart in the back is soft while the same &#8216;head to heels like steel&#8217; position is used. With the abdominal muscles tight and the ribs pulled back into the spine, this position is held for several seconds before slowly being released, with control, and the body comes to the mat again.</p>
<p>The Pilates mat exercises can be just as crucial as any other type of Pilates workout that doesn&#8217;t use a mat. Most studios provide mats for their members who attend classes. Mats for Pilates are thicker than yoga mats, because they are meant to pad users from feeling the floor. They also don&#8217;t need to be sticky because there is less worry that someone doing Pilates on a mat will slip. Pilates mats are often made from foam and should be a half inch thick, as well as four feet by eight feet in size. They can be roll up mats or fold up mats.</p>
<p>Having a series of Pilates mat exercises and a mat to use them with is a good way to increase personal agility and flexibility. Pilates exercises also help with strength and weight loss for people of all abilities and sizes. They are safe, and made more comfortable with the use of a mat. The exercises are challenging and thankfully, easy to understand once you understand the nature of Pilates itself.</p>

<p>Adding soy in your diet is also a good source for burning fat. Soy also has a lot of antioxidants in them which burn fat. You can add it to coffee or another drink such as a smoothie. If you do not eat eggs add more soy to your diet as a replacement.</p>
<p>It is also very good to add yogurt to your diet to burn fat and build calcium. You can have three servings a day of low fat dairy and you will be satisfied to know that you are enjoying dairy and fighting fat. Sorry but ice cream is not included in this dairy list.</p>
<p>Leafy greens are also good for burning fat. All leafy greens in the vegetable section are great for adding to your diet. You can add cabbage to many meals and is great broiled with olive oil.</p>

<p>Now you are probably envisioning a manly pair of arms. The good news is that you will never develop said arms. Let me enlighten you before you have more visions.</p>
<p>The female body does not have enough muscle building hormone (testosterone) to produce big and bulging arms. Mind you, the male endocrine system produces up to 60 times more testosterone than the female endocrine system. This gargantuan difference will prevent your arms from developing into manly proportions.</p>
<p>So keep an open mind when learning how to lose arm fat! And please ignore the photographs you see of professional female bodybuilders. They inject themselves with anabolic (growth) hormones and train at least 3 hours a day, every day.</p>
<p>Do not fear picking up a weight just because you think you will end up looking like a Sheman. It has been my experience that far too many women resist weight training because of this misplaced fear. So here are 5 things to consider when learning how to lose arm fat:</p>
<p>1. Working all the triceps muscles. Located in your arm, the triceps is made up of 3 primary muscles. It comprises 60% of your arm muscle. The triceps has a lateral, medial and long head. A killer exercise for the medial head is criss-cross extensions from a pulley.</p>
<p>2. Proper biceps stimulation. The biceps group in your arm consists of 2 main muscles and forms forty percent of your arm mass. It has a long and short muscle. Concentration curls with a dumbbell is a great exercise for the long muscle.</p>
<p>3. Avoiding calorie counting. Count calories and deprive yourself, and you will end up hating life. Once you lay off the counting and deprivation, all the arm fat (and more) will come right back. Focus on the quality of what you eat, not the quantity.</p>
<p>4. The quality of food you are eating. Please do not follow any unorthodox diets, simply make sure that every meal you consume has a vegetable, fat, protein and carbohydrate source. This is all you have to do in terms of meals for the jiggly arm fat to come off. Understanding how to lose arm fat can be a cinch.</p>
<p>5. Intake of water. In overly simplified terms, 25% of your arm is muscle and 75% is water. Please pay attention to your water consumption so you do not miss out on seventy five percent of the how to lose arm fat equation! Stick to distilled and/or purified sources of water throughout the entire day, every day.</p>

<p>3. Have caffeine pills. Disclaimer: caffeine pills aren&#8217;t for everybody. I personally hate them. However, some of my colleagues can take them all day and never break a sweat. The key here is to start with the lowest dose possible and gradually work your way up. These are definitely optional.</p>
<p>4. Eat spiced-up and hot food as much as possible. Don&#8217;t expect an astronomical increase in metabolism here. But any little bit helps right? If you eat hot food consistently, day in and day out, your metabolism will increase. Trust me. Just think about all the people that sweat when they overdo it!</p>

<p>The secret is to enter the spontaneous fat loss mode. This type of fat loss is the most effortless one out there because it doesn&#8217;t involve exercise or any extreme dietary restrictions.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s the easiest because you don&#8217;t have to hop on the treadmill like the energizer bunny and you don&#8217;t have to starve yourself to death. In fact, all you have to do is make some adjustments here and there and the arm fat will go away.</p>
<p>How do you spontaneously lose fat? Well, here are 4 things you can start doing today so that the flabby upper arms are gone by tomorrow:</p>
<p>1. Eat food that is labeled as coming from an &#8220;undesirable&#8221; place. You have to think outside of the box with this one, but it&#8217;s a nifty little trick. One study demonstrated that guests at a restaurant ate 500 fewer calories when given a wine with a label from an undesirable place.</p>
<p>2. Stick with slow digesting carbohydrates. Studies have shown that obese teenage boys will eat 621 fewer calories per meal if they&#8217;ve had slow digesting carbs earlier in the day. The slowest digesting carbohydrates on the planet are legumes and vegetables.</p>
<p>3. Consume salad before dinner. Have 1.5-3 cups of salad before dinner. Studies have shown that restaurant goers eat 100 fewer calories per meal when given salad beforehand. Be careful with the dressing, though.</p>
<p>4. Avoid saturated fat. But make sure to have unsaturated fat. When given olive oil instead of butter, people ate 200 fewer calories during their meal. In case you were wondering, olive oil is an unsaturated fat and butter is saturated.</p>
<p>With the above steps in mind, you can lose those flabby upper arms without breaking a sweat. There is a body of scientific evidence that backs this up. So make sure to act on this information now!</p>
